Bridge Building Activity Debrief: Group 1

We built a bridge of our own design and we got the idea from the bascule bridge. The bridge would only be raised halfway for the crafts to pass under it. We used a simple machine which is the wheel and axle to lift one side of the bridge while there is an ice-cream stick under the it which pushes the other side of the bridge up. There is a "stopper" on the side of the bridge which does not have the ice-cream stick to prevent it from falling down.

We all agree that we had worked well together to get the work done efficiently. We had also shared our thoughts and ideas. We pointed out the flaws in our design and the others would respect them. We were able to share our ideas with confidence as we thought about it before we spoke up. One thing we could have done was to think clearly what is the design before starting on the bridge. Out of 1 to 10 if we did not want to leave the group most of us chose 10 but one or two of us chose 9 or 9.5. The members who chose 10 said that they chose that as they had gotten very close already.
